The 10 Colors of a Breakup is a 10 chaptered 3D animated series that narrates a couples breakup with only the rooms of cheap monochromatic motel rooms as witnesses and main characters.
Based on 10 short stories written in 2014, the need for immagery to solidify the concept of the stories was there. In 2018, the book Cheap Hotels by Daisann McLanne became one of the mains sources of inspiration and conceptual reference. Through these 10 rooms, that transition between character and bystander/backgrounds, we can better understand the intricacies of the sequence of events that led to the couples breakup.
In this portfolio we'll showcase the concept for the third chapter: 3. Yellow.
The sequence are as follows:
Chapter 1. Blue, Chapter 2. Green, Chapter 3. Yellow, Chapter 4. Red, Chapter 5. Orange, Chapter 6. Purple, Chapter 7. Pink, Chapter 8. Brown, Chapter 9. Black and the final chapter, Chapter 10. White.
